Mark Steele grew up in Concord, MA and moved to Telluride, CO in 1991 after graduating from Wesleyan University in Connecticut. For the past eight years he has enjoyed telemarking, kayaking, and biking in the San Juan mountains, when away from the computer, that is. As Art and Creative Director, he helped start up Mountainfreak magazine, a nationally distributed journal of alternative mountain culture. After four years in Maine, Mark and wife Leyla Wefalle moved back to Telluride to have their first child, Emily.
